I’m taking part in Sleep at the ‘G to support the incredible work of Melbourne City Mission (MCM)

MCM provides vital support for young people with disabilities across Victoria – from NDIS services and therapy, to education, employment pathways, and safe housing. Their work helps young people build independence, find stability, and feel connected to their community.

As a former MCM volunteer, a mum of three, and someone who now works in the homelessness sector, this cause is deeply personal to me. I see firsthand how important the right support at the right time can be.

Right now, more than 122,000 Australians experience homelessness every night – that’s more than the capacity of the MCG. Even more confronting is that a quarter are young people aged 12–24, and in Victoria alone, over 7,600 young people are without a safe place to call home each night.

Young people need more than just a roof over their heads. They need stability, support, and the opportunity to heal, grow, and build a future.

That’s why I’m stepping outside my comfort zone and sleeping at the MCG – to raise awareness and funds for those who don’t have that choice.

If you’re able to, I would love your support. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.

Thank you
