Every night, over 122,000 Australians experience homelessness. That’s more than the maximum capacity of the great MCG. And alarmingly, a quarter of all these people are between the ages of 12 and 25.
In Victoria, more than 7,600 young people experience homelessness every night.
Young people need more than a safe place to live, they need stability and support to develop life skills, heal from trauma, and to transition to independence. Your support is needed now more than ever.
Homelessness is not a choice. Homelessness doesn't discriminate.

Absolutely thrilled to see Claire taking on the challenge of sleeping on the hard, cold floor of the MCG—Melbourne's own version of an ice hotel, just less glamorous and more... frosty! As we approach the chilling zenith of Melbourne's winter, it takes real guts to swap out a cozy bed for the great (and frigid) outdoors. I’m bursting with pride at her commitment to such a worthy cause. It’s not every day you see someone choose to rough it out in style, proving yet again that some superheroes wear sleeping bags instead of capes. Tonight, as I tuck myself into a snug bed and sip my steaming hot chocolate, I’ll be sparing a warm thought for Claire, braving the elements with nothing but her courage (and hopefully a very thick blanket). Go Claire, you’re cooler than winter in Melbourne!
