Why I’m Sleeping At The ’G in 2025
Every night, more than 122,000 Australians are experiencing homelessness—including over 7,600 young people here in Victoria. That’s more than could fill the MCG on game day. And behind every statistic is a young person trying to navigate life without the safety, stability, and support they deserve.
This year, I’m taking part in MCM’s Sleep At The ’G—not just to raise funds and awareness, but because this issue is deeply connected to my work. As someone whose research engages with youth justice and the structural factors that contribute to disadvantage, I know that homelessness is rarely the result of a single bad choice. It’s the outcome of systemic gaps—gaps we can and must close.
Youth homelessness isn't just about housing. It’s about giving young people the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to build a future. That’s why I’m asking for your support. Every donation—no matter the size—helps provide emergency accommodation, mental health support, education, and more.
Homelessness doesn’t discriminate, and it’s not inevitable. Together, we can help change the story.
Please consider donating to help me reach my fundraising target. Let’s make a difference—one night, and one life, at a time.
